Eve M and Robbie L, both start the week with amazing new of their success in local competitions.

We have had several achievements in the Junior School this week, both from J 6.

Eve M recently entered the Local heat of the Rotary Club Young writers Competition, and won ‘Group Winner’ in the Junior Group. Competing against many other children aged 7 – 10, Eves amazing ability to engage interest and wonderful imagination, ensured her the Winning spot. The theme for the written work was ‘Connections’ and could be fiction or non-fiction, story or a poem. Hopefully we will be able to publish Eve’s winning work soon.

Robbie L from J 6, competed with our St Columba’s Pipe Band on Sunday 8th March. He is the only pupil from Junior school playing in our Winning band. Robbie competed and helped secure their win in the Novice Juvenile B category. Everyone in school bore testament to how hard the band worked to prepare, with practices as early as 8 am in the weeks leading up to the competition. We are extremely proud of Robbie and all our Pipe Band - the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Champions.

Congratulations to both Junior School Pupils on their great accomplishments.
