Last Wednesday, 4 pupils from SI and SII went to the University of West Scotland and competed at the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Junior Team Challenge.

Competing against several other groups, our team placed 12th. This is the highest the school has ever placed, proving the team's outstanding mathematical skills. The group were tested in four different rounds, including, a complex group challenge, solving 10 questions, and even a mathematic relay race.

The UKMT Junior Team Challenge gives the students the opportunity to tackle a variety of engaging mathematical activities, while developing teamwork and communication skills.

This has been an excellent demonstration of knowledge, by some of the brilliant and brainy mathematicians we have in SI and SII. We can not wait to see what results next year will bring.
