45 Award participant undertook intense D of E training over 2 days in February

Well done to everyone involved in the Silver & Gold Training recently.

45 Silver & Gold award participants undertook D of E expedition training over 2 days in February. Despite deteriorating weather, Silver & Gold canoeists and walkers were enthusiastic and positive throughout.

Unfortunately, time was limited due to the poor weather. Nevertheless participants made the most of the facilities at the Senior School to complete their training. Carefully filling out route cards, training in first aid & emergency procedures. There was no stopping the participants as they began to learn more about, cooking & nutrition, camp craft and finally checking expedition equipment.

All the hard work and dedication put in to these training sessions will definitely show when participants embark on their qualifying expeditions. Well done to all involved for showing such resilience in adverse conditions.
