Transitus Pupils win at the Gryffe Valley Rotary Club Primary school Quiz Competition
This week, on Tuesday 10th March, primary schools from the local area competed in the Gryffe Valley Rotary Club Quiz Competition. Hosted at Houston Bowling Club, St Columba’s was represented by 4 brilliant Transitus students. It was a challenging and close run competitions with 5 local primary schools competing.
Being tested throughout 10 different rounds, the 8th round proved the quiz to be a close contest with 1 point between each of the top 3 scores. However after 2 demanding final rounds, our St Columbas’ team were victorious. Scoring an impressive total of 87 points, the team move onto the District round of the quiz.
Congratulations to Tanisha, Robbie, Oliver and Freddie, who are all now looking forward to the next round of the competition in April. Well done and good luck to all.
