Comment pouvez-vous aider?

Bravo St Columba’s! Another week of Virtual school is completed and it is certain that everyone is ready for a well-deserved weekend rest. During lockdown we have seen so many examples of the brilliant hard work that pupils are continuing to do, despite the adverse circumstances.

At the beginning of the lockdown Mr Paterson asked his pupils to quickly create a French poster about coronavirus. Maxine Y (SV) used the 30 minutes allocated to put together this incroyable poster. It is a beautiful and creative piece of work, that highlights Maxine’s linguistic and artistic talent. Bien joué!

In one of our recent Virtual School videos you may have also noticed Mrs Hepburn mentioning her classes ‘Danse du jour’ (also known as ‘Baile del dia’ or Dance of the day), there may now be a musical theme starting in the languages department.

Throughout May her SII class had been practicing their French writing skills in the form of small essays. Using a mixture of both paper and screen-based techniques the pupils demonstrated how well they are progressing through their course, but additionally their year group’s eclectic taste in music! Featuring artists from Ariana Grande to the Eagles. Mrs Hepburn found that the standard of French in many of the pieces is outstanding.

Il est bien fait!
