SV Pupil Gains Place at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Congratulations to Joshua W-W who is going on to study at RCS in September.
Many congratulations to Joshua W-W who leaves St Columba’s this session to pursue a career in Dance. Josh has had an exceptionally busy year in SV juggling his Higher studies with applying for Dance Schools across the UK. After receiving offers from a number of prestigious schools, Josh has accepted a place on the BA Modern Ballet Course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and starts there in September 2020.
It is often well acknowledged that gaining a place at RCS can be incredibly competitive, making this an even greater achievement. Although Joshua applied to many schools across the UK the Royal Conservatoire Scotland had been his first choice and we are delighted to hear that he has gained a place.
The RCS’s BA in Modern Ballet is delivered in conjunction with Scottish Ballet and includes many exciting opportunities for professional development and performance. Graduates have obtained contracts around the world with companies including Scottish Ballet, Northern Ballet, Ballet Cymru, National Ballet of Portugal and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.
We wish Joshua the best of luck in his next journey and cannot wait to hear of his future performances.
